Yesterday, I was about to post a screenshot of my earnings on Instagram.
Almost ₹101,000+~$1100+ in the last 3 months, the money I received in my bank accounts.
It’s good money. And proof that what I say to you and do actually works.
My finger hovered over the "post" button.
Then I stopped and thought:
What will people say?
What questions will they ask?
Will they think I'm showing off?
I live in India, a country of 1.4 billion people {overpopulation is due to geography and other factors lol}.
And somehow, it feels like half of them are watching my Instagram.
I wanted to keep it private. Cause i think the more private, the better. That's always been my rule.
But....
The problem is when you're starting, you don't have that luxury.
Nobody knows who you are.
Nobody trusts you yet.
Nobody believes you can actually help them.
So you have to show proof. You have to post the screenshots. The client messages. The earnings.
Not because you want to. Because you have to.
Without proof, you're just another guy online talking about making money.
With proof, you're someone who's actually doing it.
So I posted it anyway.
And immediately, the questions started:
"How did you do this?"
"Can you teach me?"
"Is this real or fake?"
"What's your secret?"
Some were genuine. Some were sceptical. Some were just nosy.
And I didn't want to answer any of them. Because I'm a guy who overthinks everything.
I imagine every possible reaction before I post lol.
But I realised you have to go through an uncomfortable phase where you show more than you're comfortable showing.
Then, once you've built credibility, you can go back to being private.
So if you're sitting on a screenshot right now, afraid to post it because of what people will think:
Post it anyway.
