Yo,

Okay, clickbait again.

But I'm gonna really talk about my former mentor. I will not mention the name in this email.

One day he messaged me with a job offer.

And I replied to it: "I don't want to work with you because I have my own stuff to do, and I have a team."

He: "You have a team? "

Me (with my cheeky face): "Yes, sir. I have a team."

He:

"You're putting so much effort into bullshit that's going to get you absolutely nowhere. If you've got a team that's enabling that, then they're just as bad!

Listen, bro, just think about it.

I'm gonna be brutally honest, bro: this weird shit you're doing is getting you absolutely nowhere; it's a complete waste of time.

But the work ethic is there!!

You just need to put that work ethic towards something that isn't complete bullshit.

Just think about it, lad: if you're happy posting away and reacting to your own memes, then keep it up. If you wanna make some money, hit me up.

Or at the very least, ask your team if they wanna make money 😂

Then I said (with my hot face):

“My team and I are new to LinkedIn, and we are still learning.

And we will find our way, as we did with Threads and Instagram.

So your feedback helps us a lot.

And let me clarify: "I am earning in $$$, but spending in rupees."

If it's 3 figures in dollars, in India it's 5 figures, which can pay for my pocket money, subscriptions, and the entire team too, haha”

And he didn't respond to me at all till date.

Because I have my own benefits of being in India and having the currency advantage.

It helped me a lot to grow myself and spend on team, AI tools, and life experiences.

Either going on a date, going to run club events, or going to founder events.

And most importantly, building my own stuff…

So, just utilise the opportunities and availability you have in your surroundings.

Because if you can't make something out of your surroundings, you don't need to expect something which is outside of your surroundings.

You have to face your current surroundings to get to your desired surroundings.

So make sure you know what you have, how you can utilise it, and how you can leverage it to get to the point where you want to be.
