Yo,

Recently, I realised a very big thing from one of my gay homie that: "If you don't love what you do, quit it."

And let me give you his little background. He is a graphic and UX designer and has around 62.6K followers on Instagram.

And his last video was posted on this date:

You can determine from his engagement that he is very big in his niche.

And mostly he shared his work without showing his face.

But…

One day I asked him: "Why did you quit posting on Instagram?"

He said straightforwardly: "There's always pressure to create the next design better and upload it as a reel. While I can do it solo and work for clients, getting feedback from them,  why waste a lot of time designing a reel and overthinking it? "

So he quit Instagram.

So his followers went down, which was above 70K.

Then reach and engagement all got cooked. Cause people forget, and the algorithm does too.

I took that lesson and applied it to my own life and asked 4 questions to myself:

  • Do I love recording videos? Yes. Cause I express myself and have a big why for the next generation and myself.

  • Do I like client work? Hell nah. It's just for money. But I would love to know different markets and businesses.

  • Do I like to post stories? Neutral. Cause I am just showing my life.

  • Do I like to write? No doubt. I can do it the entire day.

So just figure out why you are doing it and what you love, and go more into it.

That's the message for this email, and see you in the next one.
