Yo,

It might sound huge to you. "You visited three f*cking banks?"

Yeah….

And it’s just for one query.

I wanted to have a business current account with my business name on it.

To get that, you need: a trading license, a business registration certificate, and a physical board outside wherever you're operating your business.

I was like: holy sh*t.

Then I started figuring out how I can get all these things.

And after thinking for a while, I feel I don't need them right now. Because I can't have a board outside my house.

I live at my sister's place on rent, and the owner will kill us for putting up a board.

And when it comes to our family home, in this conservative society.

if I put up one board, every single day random people will come asking questions.

And I don't want anyone to know I'm doing entrepreneurship and online stuff. They will come to me and ask.

I don't have the f*cking time to negotiate with these people.

So I decided, okay, what will I do?

Cause I went to three banks:

  1. Canara Bank — they said you need a GST number. Which I don't have.

  2. HDFC Bank — they said: “We are a new branch here, so we don't know about this. Go to wherever you have your personal account."

And the best visit was to the next bank, where I have my personal account, while I had some insightful convo with the bank manager.

  1. State Bank of India —

They: "Yeah, you need the board and all that stuff."

I said: "Okay. Any other options?"

They said: "You can open a current account in your name, no board needed, just your name. Or you can have a business registration certificate, which you already have. Or from your existing savings account, you can create a GST registration; basic needs, nothing more."

I was like: “bro, why am I going here and there? I can just register for GST with my existing account. Which will handle all my tax calculations for the entire year.”

F*cking easy.

But to get to that f*cking easy part, you have to go through the f*cking hard work I did to get that info lol

Whether it's getting clients or figuring out the financial stuff.

Do the hard job first to make it easier later, or ask someone who did it before you to save time.
