Yo,
I am writing this email after 2026's biggest scam call of our family's life till now.
I usually wake up like a sloth from Australia who just wants to sleep.
And it was 9:00 AM.
I am about to brush my teeth, then a ringtone comes in. There's chaos in our family about who will take the call.
And it was Mom's phone, so Mom took it.
Then a guy with a raised voice: "Am I talking with 'X'?"
My mom said yeah.
And he mentioned, "You will not get a salary from this April because your employee number in your account is not updated."
My mom was a little panicked because she saw the logo of the place she works and picked up the call.
And that started with the deepest fear: “Your money will be gone.”
My mom was clueless and handed over the phone to me by ending the call.
Then that guy called again, and from his voice, I recognised an accent pattern.
It was from the most scamming region of India, which is northern India, the states like UP, West Bengal, and Bihar.
I don't want to target anyone here, but I am spitting facts.
And I live in the eastern part of India.
So I realised he was asking for my mom's details, and I said, "We will do it online. Thanks."
But he's giving FOMO: "You can do it now, just tell us."
I said: "F*ck you."
Cut the call and blocked.
And the reason to write this is not only for awareness, but to show you they are good at sales, but not the best.
If they use it for something meaningful, like closing real clients, then they will benefit more.
But the job mindset and working for any scam agency, they think that's the best way.
So, as a person, what you prefer will definitely affect you in the long term and your entire family.
So make sure you choose the right things and do the right things.
