Yo, I remember the exact date and time:

2:30 A.M. 18-07-2020.

I was a 14-year-old kid, staring at the screen, my mouth was watering while watching a Russian. My hand was going into my pants, then suddenly, from another room, I heard footsteps coming closer to me.

And before you think:

“Ashu, I am here to learn marketing and copywriting… why the hell are you telling your po*n story?”

Don’t worry. I’ll cover that too. But first, let me continue the story…

My mom walked in, grabbed my phone, and looked straight at me. The room went dead silent for minutes.

Me? I was frozen like a night owl staring at headlights.

Then, in her angry voice, Mom said:

“You’re the f***ing talented guy in this family, but why this? Having talent means nothing if you waste it like this. Do whatever you want, but remember, your life is your choice.”

Just then, my father came in: “Honey, what happened?”

My mom replied calmly, 'A street dog was barking.'

Then they went back to their room. And I cried myself to sleep. But the next morning, mom made my favourite breakfast, aloo paratha.

She smiled and said, 'Don’t watch it again. And just be in limit.'

I smiled back and ate breakfast.

Now here’s the point:

Starting Out In Copywriting Is Just Like Po*N.

Most people just consume information, then they jump from one video to another one, and watch different copy “goo-roos” like switching to see other po*n artists’ shows.

And at the end, they got bored and jumped from copywriting to another business model, never realising that every time they switch, they reset back to zero.

Look at me, I'm almost 29 months into copywriting. Worked with 5 clients. Not just for copy, but for social media, content creation, email management, and personal branding.

How?

Because I stuck with the copywriting model, followed one genuine guru and made this skill my backbone, while I got better at other secondary skills, too.

So if you’re still doubting:
“Should I continue copywriting?”
“Is copywriting dead because of A.I.?”
