[Okay so what I understand of this particular email,
First of all this email started with intriguing the reader to the story because of intimate topic (kiss,great feeling, dream of most people etc)
Then, you created imagery, scenes through words like she entered the room, touch keyboard, deadly look etc.
Till here every reader thought if the girl was about 18 year old but then even after realising the girl is 18 months old ...reader kept reading because he is already halfway through the email.
Then you continued telling your personal opinions about kids and also mentioned words like psychology and behaviour which your audience are like familiar of.
And finally you gave readers a CTA to explain psychology with a chance to win 5$ for free so it's obvious that many people (who are not earning or are broke) will reply and take action for the reward.
(I know it's copywriting not storytelling but still a way to engage reader)
In short, Storytelling pattern was like ...
intrigue -> visual tension -> reality check(i.e. revelation of age) -> continuing story stating personal opinions -> CTA with reward

I love this kid lol (No homo), cause whenever I was having calls, he shows up and asks the first questions, no family side or relation side.
But only about the copy, and that shows his seriousness.
And I was also the same in my 1st year of copy. Then, over time, I prioritised mentors and healthy connections to grow.
Cause networking is net worth-ing.
