Something similar happened to me at this event:
I was the youngest in this founder and creator event.
And the funny thing is, my surroundings were filled with capital.
People were talking, eating and drinking in lakhs and crores, while I was just a 4-figure marketer lol.
Also, out of 30 people, 10 introduced themselves in front of the other business owners.
You might be asking: “Ashu, did you introduce yourself?”
Hell yeah.
Let me show you:
I was a little nervous, and my intro somehow lasted 2 minutes.
But I am happy I did it, because next time it will be better. And I didn’t see myself as a kid, but as an EXPERT in my field…
Being the youngest in the room, I sat beside the eldest and wealthiest person at the entire event.
He asked a lot of questions about my work.
And he liked my work and the way I presented myself with my shiny agency cap.
In the end, his wife took my number.
Well, coming to the number exchange part: “I didn’t ask for a single person’s number.”
But 5 people asked for my number.
That’s authority.
Next time, I will go prepared for better communication and some cool gadgets to exchange socials without my phone.
And make sure you’re putting yourself in their shoes.
So for now, go to local events and close any manufacturers selling eggs, or in the pharma industry.
