Yo,
Finally, after 2.5 years, your boy Ashu finally made only ₹2,000 ~ $19
But the thing is, the client is only 17 years old.
And I'm not happy. Not because of his age. But because he paid me only half the amount.
The full amount was ₹4,000~$38. For all the marketing management, setup, and system implementation.
He is building a SaaS and doesn't really know what he's doing. But he just needed guidance and consulting.
That's why he came to me. I worked with him for exactly 3-4 days.
And whatever value I gave him, he was so impressed.
But here's the funny thing.
After all the rainbows and sunshine in the last call, he said: "Bro, we are not going with your consultation. And we are not working with you again. But you will keep your money, whatever I gave you. Because you provided a lot of value in these 2-3 days, which also gave us clarity."
I was like: "Bro, what the f*ck did I do wrong?"
He said: "Nah, there's something personal. I don't have the budget to afford you."
I said: "Okay, you don't have the budget, cool."
He said: "I will definitely come to you again in the future. I definitely love to work with you."
I said: "Okay, cool." I agreed, and we talked a bit more.
Now, I got my first paid client. And I will just move further. No going back.
And I also learned a lot from this one client.
Next time, when I offer to any client, I will have a separate budget for video editing.
A separate budget for the system, content creation, and structure. Script writing will also be included in the content system.
Video editing: I will not do it myself.
Personally, I hate editing because it takes a hell of a lot of time.
So, I will outsource it.
I learned a lot from this client, and also a little about the SaaS industry.
I wasn't happy when I only received half payment.
But when he left with appreciation and feedback, I was happy.
And if you had your first paid client, just let me know how your experience was by replying to this email.
