1. If the VSL is on YouTube:
Go to youtubetranscript.com or tactiq.io. Paste the link. Done. You get the full transcript in seconds.
2. If the VSL is on a standalone sales page:
Download the video first. Then upload it to Otter.ai. It will transcribe the whole thing for you automatically. The free plan works fine for most VSLs.
3. The free browser trick (BEST):
Open the sales page. Right-click and hit Inspect. Go to the Network tab.
Reload the page. In the search bar, type .vtt or .srt.
If the video has captions embedded, you will see a file pop up. Click it.
Go to the Response tab. Full transcript right there.
Now you can pull any VSL transcript. Study the hooks. Break down the structure. Steal the frameworks legally.
