Yo {{first_name|bro}},

I always talk about Alex Hormozi, Elon Musk, or Iman Gadzhi. But today I want to talk about a guy from my own city.

Bijan Barik. Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

If you don't know, I'm from Odisha too. So this one hits different while writing it to you LOL.

He did a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Got a campus placement. Six-month gap before joining.

Most people would just wait. He worked three jobs simultaneously during those six months just to understand how the business actually works.

Then he joined the company. Got pushed out because of office politics.

That's when he started IRAJ International in 2013.

An academic conference business with no funding from any single investor.

He just had a small amount of money, but he did a lot of execution at that time.

Today, IRAJ has 75,000+ professional members, runs conferences in 15+ countries, including Japan, the UAE, Singapore, Thailand, and the USA.

IRAJ is basically a science fair organiser. But for adults.

Professors and researchers from around the world pay him to present their papers at his international conferences.

That one boring business funded everything else for his next businesses, family and his team.

Then one day, he went to Dubai for a conference. And saw world-class gyms there and got a thought: “Why is there anything like this in India? Let’s start it at my local.”

So, he came back to Bhubaneswar and built his gym brand:

All Time Fitness”

First gym in Jagamara. Then a 7,500 sq ft warehouse gym near Infocity.

Then Saheed Nagar. Then Nayapalli. Then Old Town. (The big and famous areas of Bhubanswar)

Franchise now open in Gurgaon. Bangalore is next.

7 gyms. Built one every year since 2021.

But there’s a twist in his journey.

His gym caught fire once. Literally burnt down. But he didn’t stop there.

He rebuilt it.

To fund all this, he took ₹3.70 crore in bank loans.

And he now runs 6+ registered companies across fitness, real estate, IT, and clothing.

Nobody knows his exact net worth. The filings don't show it.

But the guy drives a Ferrari in Odisha, runs 7 gyms, and has conferences running in 15 countries.

You do the math yourself, lol.

He started with three jobs and a small conference business in Bhubaneswar. And just kept stacking.

So, look around your city. Your local millionaire is probably doing the same thing right now.

You don't always have to look 10,000 miles away for inspiration.
