Remember the guy from my last email who got a paid client from inbound?
Yesterday I spent 2 hours on a call with him.
Not to learn his client's strategy. But to help him get paid lol.
Cause he landed a foreign client, but has no way to receive payment.
No bank account. No PAN card. No payment gateway.
Literally nothing.

I asked him, "Bro, how are you getting clients without basic infrastructure set up?"
His answer: "My parents are sceptical about me working online."
That's an excuse, lol.
You can open a bank account at 18. You can say something else to parents to create it.
But whatever.
I agreed to receive his payment through my account so he doesn't lose the client.
Then I got curious.
How does someone land an inbound lead but can't figure out how to open a bank account lol?
So we talked for 2 hours, 2 minutes & 22 seconds.
Isn't that a funny number, isn’t it?
And I found: He's genuine. Hardworking. Talented at what he does. But completely unprepared for the business side.
He can write copy. He can close clients. He can deliver results.
But he can't get paid without someone else's help at that exact moment.
So, he reached out to me.
And the lesson for you, if you're just starting:
Set up your infrastructure BEFORE you need it:
Open a bank account.
Get a PAN card.
Set up a payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay).
Don't wait until you land a client and then scramble.
Because if you can't receive payment, you don't have a business. You just have a what’s that kindergarten kid calls “a hobby”.
And finding someone to receive payments for you? Good luck with that.
I did it this time because the guy seems solid. But I'm not doing it again if there’s any big transaction in future.
Cause I'll have income tax questions I don't want to answer.

It takes 30 minutes. And it's the difference between landing a client and losing them because you can't figure out how to get paid.
